StarCenter Multisport Northlake

223,000 sq ft multi-sport tournament center: two hockey rinks, basketball courts and concessions, plus the shell for a restaurant and a Children's Health center that other contractors finished out.

What I was responsible for

  1. Coordinated subcontractors in the field

Checked in with foremen on when open schedule items would be finished, followed up on the dates they promised, and cleared the day-to-day blockers that would have held up the work.

  2. Ran weekly 360-degree camera walks

The walks recorded progress and site condition week by week.

  3. Built the initial punch list

Created it alongside my team and the architect.

  4. Drove closeout with every subcontractor

Stayed on top of each sub so closeout documents came in on time, and made sure payment was held for anyone who hadn't submitted by substantial completion.

  5. Checked closeout against the spec

Verified each closeout submittal for compliance with the spec, and helped coordinate attic stock deliveries.
